Shottery Primary enjoys a large take-up of school meals, which are provided by Educaterers. The meals are cooked daily at Alveston School and transported directly to our school. Menus are provided to parents and there is a three week cycle of meals for children to choose. Children select either the red, green or brown choice (blue April – October only ) at the start of each day. In KS2 they mark their choice on a register with either R, G or B (BL April – October ). We should be grateful if parents of children in Class HH would help their children with their choice of meal when they bring them into class. The list will be available in the classroom, and a teaching assistant will mark the register with either R, G or B. The school operates an electronic payment scheme for school meals – Parentmail PMX, and payments are made half-termly. The school office will let parents know how much their children’s meals will be for the half term and payment can either be made online or at the school office with a debit/credit card. If a child is absent from school, credits are carried forward to the following payment period. The current charge for meals is £2.50 per day. Free school meals are available for families who receive certain benefits and further information can be obtained from www.warwickshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals or by contacting 01926 742060.
